About Monona County Economic Development Partnership
Monona County Economic Development Partnership for Growth (MCEDP) is a public-private partnership responsible for the systematic marketing of Monona County and the facilitation of economic development initiatives that foster the retention, expansion, and attraction of business to the county resulting in private capital investment, job creation, and strengthening of the county’s overall financial health.
The Monona County Economic Development Partnership will be known for leading the county to economic prosperity, making it the premier destination for business and facilitating an unparalleled quality of life for residents of the county.
The MCEDP Board has identified areas in which we can focus our attention in order to support the economic development efforts of the communities in Monona County. These focus areas include:
- Encouraging ag-related business
- Encouraging entrepreneurial opportunities and small business growth
- Veterans – Home Base Iowa
- Increase awareness and participation of tourism opportunities
